PM Modi urges semiconductor industry to ‘Make for India, Make for World’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi says the country is working on a “vibrant semiconductor ecosystem” with full force and urged the global semiconductor industry to ‘Make for India, Make for World’.

Addressing global investors at the Semicon India Conference, 2023, in Gandhinagar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi says India fully understands its global responsibilities and is working on a comprehensive roadmap in the field of chips with its allies, while he also emphasised on the need for a reliable global supply chain for semiconductors.

PM Modi says India offers a massive talent pool for the global semiconductor industry. “India has skilled engineers and the prowess of good designers. When we say Make in India, it also means Make for India and Make for the world,” PM Modi said.
